• Hello Alumni Brothers and Chapter family,
                As KG and PSC are approaching their 30th and  55th anniversaries respectively, I hope all of you are keeping in touch with our amazing brotherhood, and the notion that Fraternity is for life at heart.  I'm Joseph Jefferson, the Commander for the 2011-2012 school year.  On behalf of the Active Chapter; we would like to invite you and your family to the Sigma Nu Gala Fundraiser Dinner on Sept. 9th, 2011 at 7 PM, at the Kellogg West Restaurant on Cal Poly Pomona's campus.  Before I go into the details, let me illustrate the wonderful accomplishments the chapter has done throughout last year, and the momentum we have going into next year.
    During the past few years, our rush has excelled phenomenally, bringing our brotherhood to 68 brothers strong.  We have then taken that man power and used it for many philanthropy events, such as Backpacks for Education (where we donated 35 backpacks filled with school supplies given to nearby elementary schools), Blood Drives (partnered with the American Red Cross organizing 2 days of blood drives for all greeks), MS Walk, and our most treasured, Chippendales (in which all of you are familiar with) just to name a few.
    We also have a great amount of brothers holding positions in IFC, Greek Council, and ASI,  and KG also brought back the Greek Week title to where it belongs; bringing our total to 11 out of 19 titles won. Our grades have been steadily increasing, and our synergy with the Greek community is stronger than ever.
    With all this said, the Chapter is preparing to strengthen the relationship with you, our alumni.  Moving forward, we are organizing many events to reconnect our history with the present. The first ever Sigma Nu Gala Fundraiser Dinner is designed to allow all of the actives, alumni, and families to share a common bond - brotherhood.  It will be a place where new initiates can meet and learn from men who built this chapter, motivating the active chapter even more while giving a heartwarming nostalgia to the alumni; all the while raising money.
    Breakdown of the Fundraiser
    • 10% Medical Assistance Fund for Brother Gabriel Sanchez (Diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma)
    • 10% will go into the PSC / SN Legacy Fund. The first scholarships will be awarded at Preference Dinner Oct. 1st, 2011.
    • 10% will go into the Chapter House Fund designed to be a savings account for a new house if needed.
    • 30% will go into a savings account, which will only be used for house improvements, philanthropies, and fundraisers.
    • 30% will go into an emergency savings account.

    • Silver - ($40) Dinner for 1 and Certificate of Appreciation
    • Gold - ($80) Dinner for 1, Preferred seating, Sigma Nu Gift, Certificate of Appreciation signed by E-Board. 
    • Circle of Knights - ($250)  Honorable seating, Dinner for 2, Framed Certificate of Appreciation signed by E-Board, Sigma Nu Gift, Honorary Placement on Sigma Nu website for life
    • Legion of Honor - ($500) Honorable seating,  Recognition of donation during event, Dinner for 2,  Framed Certificate of Appreciation signed from E-Board, Sigma Nu Gift, Honorary placement on Sigma Nu website for life,  Honorary placement on Legion of Honor Plaque for life.
